  • Night Under the Stars

    Come out and take a look at the natural beauty of the night sky! Learn about the different stellar objects decorating our Universe. From space-filled lessons, fun crafts, delicious snacks, and taking a look at the night sky with our telescopes, we are sure you will be blown out of this world with all the exciting activities


  • Hawaiian Luau at the Pool

    Coordinated By: City of Friona Pool Department

    Tuesday ( 1-10 PM), City of Friona Pool, 1501 W 5th St

    Join the City of Friona Pool Department as they bring a Hawaiian Luau to our local pool! Starting off with free swimming following with a Limbo tournament and closing off the night with a movie in the pool.

  • Local Farmer’s Market & Crafts

    Wednesday - Friday (6-9 PM), Friona City Park, 700 Main Street

    Local farmers and craft enthusiast will be selling their finely designed foods and crafts directly to you! This will be an outdoor event consisting of booths, tables, and stands selling fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, prepared foods and beverages, and some of the finest crafts in the Panhandle!

    You are not required to sell all the days listed! We are still accepting vendors!

Bring Your Own Chairs and Blankets

Looking to enjoy our wonderful outside summer weather, but unsure what to do? The City of Friona Public Works Department has put together a night to enjoy the weather while enjoying a family-friendly movie in our city park! This will be an opportunity to spend the night with your family while relaxing and snacking on items being sold by local vendors.


  • Video Game Challenge

Thursday, (7-10 PM), Boy Scout Hut, Reeve Lake, 601 W. 15th St.

Looking to put your skills to the test? Searching for some friendly competition? We will be holding a video game tournament featuring a Super Smash Bros tournament on Switch, Mario Cart tournament on the original Wii system, and we will be offering Loteria (Spanish Bingo). There will be prizes and pizza all night long! Come on out to challenge your friends!

“Remember when we use to drag main?” Take a ride down memory lane as local motorcyclists and classical car enthusiasts drag down Main Street showing off their sweet rides.

  • Adult Softball Tournament


Friday - Saturday (6-10 PM), Friona High School Baseball Field, S .Prospect Ave and 3rd

Come on down to the ballpark, and put on your game face for the first Cheeseburger Adult Softball Tournament! With several teams battling it out to see who will be the first-ever Cheeseburger Softball Champions, we know this event will bring excitement to your night!


  • “Bun” Run & Walk

    Saturday (7-9 AM), Friona High School Parking Lot

The Bun Run will feature both a 5K Run/Walk and a Kids Fun Run. Every registered participant (including kids) will get a Bun Run T-shirt when they pay their registration fee. The Bun Run is a fun, family-friendly, dog-friendly race. After the run, everyone is allowed free access to the pool to take a dip to cool off. Kids can enjoy the Kids Korral, featuring kid-friendly activities, and everyone will enjoy a morning of running and excitement!

  • Cheeseburger Cook-Off

Saturday (4-8 PM), Reeve Lake, 601 W. 15th St.

Known as the Cheeseburger Capital of Texas, we couldn’t forget about the cheeseburgers! Join us as teams compete for $1000 in prize money and for the title of Best Cheeseburger! There will also be a chance to win $300 in our Cow Patty Bingo game, vendors, face painting, water games, music, mouth watering, fresh-off-the-grill burgers, and so much more! Come on down to the Cheeseburger Capital of Texas for a day full of delicious cheeseburgers and family-fun!

  • Motorcycle/Classic Car Rally


    Saturday (4-8 PM), Reeve Lake Park, 601 W. 15th St.

    Who wouldn’t enjoy a chance to show off their motorcycle or classic car? This event will give motorcycle and classic car collectors a chance to share their passion for bikes and classic cars with those attending the Cheeseburger Festival. It will be a gathering to promote relationships and make connections for those who share a similar passion.

  • Fireworks Show

    Friona Volunteer Fire Department

    This year’s Cheeseburger Festival will conclude with a firework show that will illuminate the Friona sky. Not only will residents get to see a wonderful firework show, but patriotic music will be playing the background to help fuel and ignite your patriotic spirit!
