Matching Member Grant Program
In an effort to improve the businesses in the city of Friona, The Friona Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) Board of Directors is pleased to offer a Storefront Matching Grant Program to help Friona businesses enhance their appearance and attract more customers. This program is designed to assist with upgrades - not general maintenance or routine repairs.
Eligible Improvements May Include:
New or updated signage
Exterior aesthetic enhancements
Printed materials (menus, flyers, brochures)
Matching promotional sales or special advertising
Other approved improvements that enhance the visual appeal or marketing of your business
Note: This grant does not cover routine repairs, maintenance, or operating costs.
This storefront program has been expanded for all businesses within the City Limits.
This is the process. This is a matching grant fund up to $1,500 depending on the amount you as a business owner spend. For every $2.00 you spend, the FEDC will match you $1.00 up to $1,500. Here are some examples:
- Spend $600 -> FEDC matches $300
- Spend $1,000 -> FEDC matches $500
- Spend $3,000 -> FEDC matches $1,500 (maxiumum)
The FEDC promotes economic development within Friona and focuses on long-term growth for the city by trying to attract new businesses. Our hope for this program is to revitalize our area businesses and help attract and improve tourism.
If you would like to participate in this program, the FEDC is limiting grant awards to 10 businesses only. The deadline to submit applications is May 22, 2026. An application review committee comprised of members from the FEDC will review applications by May 27, 2026, and applicants will be approved for award on June 8, 2026. Once work is complete with receipts the applicant will receive funds.
