The Clarence Monroe Community Center's intended use is to provide a space for activities that members of the community can use. The Clarence Monroe Community Center host several events throughout the year such as Stock Show, the Chamber Banquet, Quinceañeras, and parties. In order to rent the Clarence Monroe Community Center you must contact the city and set up a time/date.

January 2020 - December 2025
The City’s Visitor Impact Commission was tasked by the Friona City Council with evaluating the Clarence Monroe Community Center and developing a prioritized list of recommended improvements based on need. The first two of five major improvement projects began in mid-March 2020 and included roof repair/replacement and HVAC repair/replacement. These upgrades were followed by a kitchen remodel and restroom redesign, with the final phase consisting of exterior building and landscaping improvements to enhance the overall appearance of the facility.
