Friona City Manager

The Friona City Manager serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the City and manages and directs the organization toward primary objectives under the ordinances, policies, and direction established by the City Council. The City Manager also has regular contact with the general public, elected officials, city employees and representatives from other localities. Additionally, the City Manager monitors City projects, grants, procurements, etc.

Leander "Lee" Davila is the current City Manager and his appointment began on January 2, 2018. Prior to his appointment, Lee served more than 18 years with the City of Austin. While in the City of Austin, he served in the City Manager’s Office and in the departments of Police, Development Services, Transportation, and Corporate Special Events. Lee received his bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from St. Edward’s University in 2016.
